The Visit

To learn about Antica Corte Pallavicina are possible four different guided tour: from the rooms on the main floor of the Castle to the “Museum of Culatello and Masalén”; from the farm with the pigs of ancient race and the products of the vegetable garden, up to the visit to the dairy.

Each route deserves to be concluded with a tasting of our products.

 

Route 1: Visit of  the Court

It starts from the garden, you pass the arch to enter the large courtyard where a small door allows you to enter the ancient kitchen with coffered ceiling and continue in the elegant frescoed rooms with: residence of the Marquis Pallavicino from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century.

Duration: twenty minutes

Period: from February 1st to December 30th

Timings

Open Tuesday to Sunday: 10.00am – 6.00pm (last admission 5.30pm).

Monday (if not holidays) closed.

The Castle could be closed for events.

Costs

  • € 3.00 for person including audio guide in Italian or English (it is advisable to complete the tour with a visit to the Culatello Museum.

 

 

 

 

Route 2: Visit to the Culatello and Masalén Museum

A permanent exhibition itinerary, desired by the Spigaroli Family, linked to a tradition carved into the heart of the Bassa and to the family’s history. A path that winds inside and outside the Ancient Court between ancient maps, documents, photographs, films, multimedia equipment and objects related to the rural culture, up to the ancient cellars.

Duration: forty-five minutes

Period: from February 1st to December 30th

Timings

Open Tuesday to Sunday: 10.00am – 6.00pm (last admission 5.30pm).

Monday no holidays closed.

The Museum could be closed for events.

Costs

  • Full price: € 7.00 per person including audio guide in Italian or English
  • Reduced: € 5.00 groups (minimum 10 people), adults over 65, conventions.
  • Reduced: schools € 3.00 classes and students from 6 to 18 years, University of Parma with card.
  • Free: disabled and their carers, group and school guides, journalists, children under 6 years.
  • Guided tour for groups € 20.00 in addition to the entrance ticket (from 11 to 25 people). Reservation is mandatory.

 

 

Route 3: Visit to the Farm at the Noble rooms and at the Culatello Museum

A complete itinerary to discover the “small world” of the Ancient Court Pallavicina and the Spigaroli family. On the farm you can see: the “Nera Parmigiana” ancient breed pigs, know their feeding and pastures, cows of ancient local breeds, farmyard animals, vegetable gardens, orchards, and then enter the Court and visit the frescoed rooms and the Museum of Culatello and Masalén.

Duration: one hour and thirty minutes

Period: from March to October

Costs

  • Only for groups of at least 10 people, reservations required.
  • € 20.00 per person – € 15.00 for groups of minimum 20 people – € 12.00 for school groups.
  • Costs inclusive of the guided tour. Gratuity: escorts (max 2 pax).

 

 

Route 4: Visit to the Dairy Farm, to the Farm, to the Noble Rooms and the Culatello Museum

The visit to the dairy is provided only for guests of the Relais.

It starts early (at 8.30) with the discovery of the different stages of production of Parmigiano Reggiano, then move on to the farm with its animals and crops, to return to the Palazzo with frescoed rooms and Museum of Culatello and Masalén

Duration: two hours

    All the production of cured meats, Parmigiano Reggiano, salad from the garden, focaccia, a first hot dish (tortelli with herbs or risotto), homemade cake, Fortana wine, water and coffee – € 40.00 for person
